Absolutely loved this article. Every time I boot up a new game, the first thing I do is look for the accessibility settings.

It helped me enjoy games like Starfield, where I was more interested on the "RPG" and less on the "First-Person Shooter" so I lowered enemy's health and increased my damage to reach a level of friction I was comfortable with

The only or main reason I got in to gaming again especially playing 3D RPGs is because Horizon series has a story mode. I always knew of harder settings and never easier ones and when I found this mode I was so happy and in general I will play on the easiest setting.

Without accessibility settings I might not be enjoying games of all levels of difficulty now.

I do agree that as a gaming community we can do better in supporting new players. That might be brand new players or players new to a certain genre. I think often it is not even about getting good or whatever but simply having some experience of similar games so you know what to expect better. And we could do more to help people with that as well as include accessibility settings.

Thank you. Brilliant post!
