So happy to read that you also loved the game. I hope that they may add some DLC in the future because I also just want more! More world, more side quests. More Avowed!

I've heard there will be DLC so thankfully we have more to look forward to there. I personally think that Avowed is almost definitely going to get a sequel. Damn good game and it deserves a sequel so much. I just hope in said sequel they don't let themselves run wild to the point of bloat.

The Outer Worlds 2 is probably gonna be an early sign to see if they will weigh themselves down in an Avowed sequel.

Cat we are so vibing lately! I’ve been drafting a similar article. I just love how Avowed feels like a fun game from the PS3 era. Similar Games these days are just overcooked and are missing the fun.

From the PS3 era is a great description of it. Being able to put fun first is something the modern AAA industry desperately needs to start doing. I think Avowed is so good because it is technically AA and that part of the industry has learned to cut shit that isn't necessary just like devs would do back in the PS3 era.

Exactly. Danny oDwyer from NoClip described it as games these days have about 10% too much game in its systems.

Avowed through scope limitations was forced to keep this system’s a healthy amount of development

Scope limitations is honestly I think what makes the best games. Both in my time as a Producer and my current experience as a Dev I've had to keep the scope limited in the projects I have influence in. It's important to not just fill the game with everything you could ever want. Best to do exactly what you want very very well than a ton of unimportant stuff mildly well.
